Ingredients: A Blend of Chinese, Indian, and Ceylon Black Tea Russian Caravan Significance Long ago, overland trade routes from Asia to Europe and Russia brought tea on a months long, 6,000 mile journey by camel. This long trip included many campfires which, over time, imparted the aroma and slight taste of pine smoke into tea that traveled this route. Modern Russian Caravan is a blend which includes the addition of Chinese Lapsang Souchong, a black tea smoked over pine wood. Each tea producer tends to have their own variation with Assam and Ceylon teas commonly part of the mix.
